Betts Quick Clean Chemical Hydraulic Valve is an internal self-closing stop valve widely used on DOT407 and 12 cargo tanks. It features a rapid removal spring housing assembly, a self-contained hydraulic actuator, and a valve body with a smooth tapered seat. The 316 stainless steel body with an optional Hastelloy® overlay seat and replaceable Teflon™ encapsulated main seal make this valve versatile and proven for chemical transportation. A sacrificial shear section meets 49 CFR §178.345-8 requirements as tested per TTMA RP84. The hydraulic actuator has a ¼ in NPT inlet port and is a self-contained assembly that can be replaced without removing the valve from the cargo tank. It isolates hydraulic fluid from the cargo tank and piping, with leaks contained in the actuator assembly draining externally through weep holes as an alert for repair.
