Encapsulated O-Ring, FEP, For New Tophead O-ring Seal on 4 in Hydrolet Valves

The seal for the 3 and 4 in hydrolet has been improved by replacing the traditional PTFE envelope gasket with a FEP encapsulated silicone O-ring. The O-ring reduces the amount of torque required by the clamp ring nut to achieve a leak tight joint and compensates for flange distortion better than the envelope gasket. In all cases of testing, the O-ring has outperformed the envelope gasket. The new O-ring utilizes the same groove; therefore, the O-ring can be installed on existing valve bodies.
