Gates GlobalSpiral Coupling, Steel, 0.5 in Connection Size 1, 2.83 in Length

#GATG20170-0808X

Product Overview

Gates GlobalSpiral couplings are specially engineered to provide superior performance for extreme high-pressure, high-impulse spiral-wire hydraulic hose applications. They feature an innovative, two-piece, no-skive design that reduces assembly time, labor, fabrication errors, and contamination of the fluid power system. These couplings can be used with all Gates® MegaSys four and six-spiral wire hose up to 6000 psi, and can also be crimped on Gates® wire-braid hoses when used with 2-wire ferrules. Conforms to S, M and L Drops per ISO final draft international standard 12151-S.

Features & Benefits

The innovative two-piece, no-skive design allows for fast, tailor-made assemblies and drastically reduces assembly time, labor, odor, fabrication errors, and contamination of the fluid power system.

Unique Bite-the-Wire Crimp Design allows for improved coupling retention and blow-off prevention.

The Two-Piece Design potentially reduces inventory by 30 percent since only one stem is required for all spiral wire hose types.

The GlobalSpiral two-piece configuration greatly reduces the chance of assembly error.

By pulling the ferrule away from the hose end, it is easier to see when the stem is fully and securely inserted into the hose.

Maximum application coverage with more than 80 available thread configurations.

Features environmentally-friendly TuffCoat plating for superior corrosion resistance.

Note: MGS Couplings for use with MC4-20 Crimper only.
