Product Overview

Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. What makes it perform so well is the patented, pre-assembled 'C' insert attached to the ferrule. This insert allows a single coupling size to be used with various hose constructions and wall thicknesses, simplifying inventory. The C-insert also ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

Features & Benefits

To combat hydraulic leaks from over-torquing, Gates® Full-Torque Nut™ technology makes couplings stronger and more durable than traditional staked nuts, transferring input-torque to clamp-load more consistently to minimize leaks.

Features a robust 'bite-the-wire' crimp design with low profile, full-stem insertion, and full-length crimp for secure hose retention and a high-performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly.

The unique 'C' insert ensures 'weep-free' concentric crimping, setting a new standard for hydraulic couplings and helping to keep equipment and the environment clean.

Simplifies inventory by allowing one MegaCrimp coupling size to accommodate various 1 and 2 wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, qualified for use on all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
