Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The performance of the coupling is driven by its patented, pre-assembled 'C' insert attached to the ferrule. This insert allows a single coupling size to be used with different hose constructions and wall thicknesses (including one- and two-wire braid and select xpiral hoses), simplifying inventory. The C-insert also ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.
