Product Overview
Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The key to their performance is the patented 'C' insert, which allows a single coupling size to be used with various hose constructions and wall thicknesses (including one- and two-wire braid and select spiral hoses). The C-insert also ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric, weep-free seal. These couplings simplify inventory requirements and are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- Engineered with Gates® Full-Torque Nut™ technology to solve a common cause of leaks: cracked nuts or seats from over-torquing. Available on MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings, these are stronger and more durable than staked nut fittings and transfer input-torque to clamp-load more consistently to minimize leaks.
- Sets a new standard for hydraulic couplings; the unique "C" insert ensures "weep-free" concentric crimping to keep equipment and the environment clean.
- Simplifies inventory, as one MegaCrimp coupling size can accommodate various 1 and 2-wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, and is qualified on all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
- The ‘bite-the-wire’ design allows for coupling and hose retention to make a high performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly.
