Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The key to their performance is the patented, pre-assembled "C" insert, which ensures an even distribution of crimping forces for a concentric, weep-free seal. This design allows a single coupling size to be used with various one- and two-wire braid hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, simplifying inventory requirements. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.
