Gates MegaCrimp Couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The key to its performance is the patented "C" insert, which allows a single coupling to be used with various hose constructions and wall thicknesses, including one- and two-wire braid and select xpiral hoses. This insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal, simplifying inventory requirements. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- To prevent leaks from cracked nuts or seats caused by over-torquing, Gates® engineered Full-Torque Nut™ technology for MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings; these are stronger, more durable than traditional staked nuts and transfer input-torque to clamp-load more consistently to minimize leaks.
- Features a robust 'bite-the-wire' crimp design with a low profile, full-stem insertion, and full-length crimp for superior coupling and hose retention, creating a high-performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly tested to 600,000 impulse cycles.
- The unique "C" insert ensures "weep-free" concentric crimping to keep equipment and the environment clean.
- Simplifies inventory management by allowing one coupling size to accommodate various 1- and 2-wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, and is qualified on all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
