Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed to create a robust, leak-free assembly for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose. The performance comes from the patented 'C' insert attached to the ferrule, which allows for usage with different hose constructions and wall thicknesses. This insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal, simplifying inventory since one size can accommodate many hose ODs on one- and two-wire braid hoses. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.
