Product Overview

Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The performance comes from the patented, pre-assembled "C" insert, which allows usage with different hose constructions and wall thicknesses by ensuring an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal. This simplifies inventory since one coupling size can accommodate many different hose ODs on one- and two-wire braid hoses and select spiral hoses. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

To prevent cracked coupling nuts from over-torquing, Gates® engineered Full-Torque Nut™ technology, available on Gates® MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings, which is stronger, more durable, and transfers input-torque to clamp-load more consistently than traditional staked nuts to minimize leaks.

Features a robust 'bite-the-wire' crimp design using a unique "C" insert that ensures weep-free, concentric crimping for a high-performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly, keeping equipment and the environment clean.

Low-profile design with full-stem insertion and a full-length crimp.

Simplifies inventory management and helps reduce costs, as one MegaCrimp coupling size can accommodate various 1 and 2 wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, and is qualified for all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
