Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The performance comes from the patented 'C' insert, which is pre-assembled and attached to the ferrule. This insert allows a single coupling size to be used with various hose constructions and wall thicknesses (including one- and two-wire braid hoses and select spiral hoses), simplifying inventory. The C-insert also ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- To prevent leaks from a cracked coupling nut or seat due to over-torquing, Gates® has engineered Full-Torque Nut™ technology, available on Gates® MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings. These full-torque nut couplings are stronger, more durable, and transfer input-torque to clamp-load more consistently than traditional staked nut fittings, minimizing leaks.
