Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hoses to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The key to its performance is the patented 'C' insert attached to the ferrule, which ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal. This design allows a single coupling to be used with various one- and two-wire braid hose constructions and wall thicknesses, simplifying inventory. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

To prevent leaks from cracked nuts or seats caused by over-torquing, this coupling features Gates® Full-Torque Nut™ technology, available on MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings. This design is stronger and more durable than traditional staked nuts and transfers input-torque to clamp-load more consistently to minimize leaks.

Features a robust, low-profile, 'bite-the-wire' crimp design with full-stem insertion and a full-length crimp, which allows for superior coupling and hose retention to create a high-performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly.
