Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid and select spiral hydraulic hoses to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The performance comes from the patented 'C' insert attached to the ferrule, which allows usage with different hose constructions and wall thicknesses. The C-insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal, which simplifies inventory requirements as one coupling size can accommodate many different hose ODs. These couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.
