2 POINTS
Gates MegaCrimp Coupling, Steel, 1 in Connection Size 1, 1-5/16-12 Connection Size 2, Male JIC 37 deg Flare, Hose, 4.11 in Length
#GATG25165-1616
Product Overview
The performance of the MegaCrimp coupling stems from its patented “C” insert, which allows usage with various hose constructions and wall thicknesses. The insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric, leak-free seal. This design simplifies inventory requirements as one coupling size can accommodate many different hose ODs on both one- and two-wire braid hoses and select spiral hoses. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.
Features & Benefits
- Features Full-Torque Nut™ technology, engineered by Gates® as a solution for cracked coupling nuts from over-torquing. These couplings are stronger, more durable than traditional staked nuts, and transfer input-torque to clamp-load more consistently to minimize leaks.
- The unique 'C' insert and 'bite-the-wire' design ensures weep-free concentric crimping and secure hose retention, creating a high-performance, risk-free assembly that keeps equipment and the environment clean.
- Simplifies inventory requirements by allowing one coupling size to accommodate various 1 and 2-wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, qualified on all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
