The Monroe® Magnum® shock absorber for class 6-8 vehicles is the first gas-charged, large-bore shock specifically designed for air spring and taper leaf suspensions. Its nitrogen gas charge provides the fast response essential for today’s heavy-duty truck suspension systems.

- A robust, patented hydraulic lockout prevents over-extension of air bags and top-out of the piston, averting damage to the seal assembly for increased durability (on most applications).
- All-weather fluid contains special additives to assist with extreme temperatures and help reduce oil breakdown while the larger reserve tube holds more fluid to improve performance (most applications).
- Longer service life is achieved through a combination of a single-lip, low-friction oil seal, a special bearing to reduce friction between the rod and rod guide, and a durable piston rod finish.
- Features a heavy wall, drawn-over-mandrel pressure tube.
- Strong and durable design with a shouldered and bonded bushing with sleeve to protect from bushing walkout for improved quality.
- Delivers exceptional control and isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness under most driving conditions.
