The Monroe® Magnum® shock absorber is the first gas-charged, large-bore shock designed for class 6-8 vehicles with air spring and taper leaf suspensions. Its nitrogen gas charge provides the fast response essential for today’s heavy-duty truck suspension systems. This product includes a dust shield.

Exceptional handling from 10-stage valving, tuned to each vehicle, adjusts to road extremes; the gas charge and large bore provide more efficient damping for consistent control and a smooth ride necessary for demanding truck suspensions (most applications).

A heavy-wall, drawn-over-mandrel pressure tube and a large reserve tube hold more all-weather fluid with special additives, which assists with extreme temperatures and reduces oil breakdown for a consistent ride and improved performance (most applications).

Features a patented, robust hydraulic lockout to prevent over-extension of air bags, top-out of the piston, and avert damage to the seal assembly (when required/on most applications).

Strong and durable construction with resistance and 360 deg arc-welded mounts for maximum durability; features a shouldered and bonded bushing with sleeve to protect from walkout for improved quality.

A bearing with PTFE coating reduces friction between the rod and rod guide, combined with a nitrocarburized piston rod, for enhanced durability and longer service life (most applications).

Delivers exceptional control and isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness under most driving conditions.
