- The Nord-Lock wheel nut is designed for on- and off-road vehicles with flat-faced steel rims and M22x1.5 studs. Each nut incorporates a pair of captivated washers with cams, where the cam angle is greater than the thread pitch. When the wheel nut is tightened, the Nord-Lock washers grip and lock the mating surfaces. Rotation of the wheel nut is blocked by the wedge effect of the cams.
