The Chelsea 897 series power take-off (PTO) is a constant mesh PTO designed for Allison 3000 & 4000 transmissions, offering superior clearance and the highest torque rating in the industry—up to 670 lb-ft. It mounts neatly between the transmission and truck frame rail, positioning the pump output at the rear of the transmission for optimal space. Featuring a single-piece main shaft that eliminates input splines between the PTO and output extension, it includes an additional rear bracket for support. The pump interface is located at the rear to allow the housing and gear section to tuck tightly to the transmission, improving clearance. Utilizing wet spline technology, this PTO extends shaft life under demanding conditions.
