Fork Extensions, 84 in L x 7 in W, For Fork Width of 6 in by SCN are designed to handle large and oddly-shaped loads with increased stability. These extensions feature an easy to use slide-on design and a steel retaining strap that prevents extensions from sliding off forks during use. They accommodate forks with a maximum fork thickness of 2 in and are intended for forks with a width of 6 in. Fork extensions may not extend more than 50% beyond the existing fork. Fork extensions are lift truck attachments that increase the fork's effective length for handling oversized uniformly distributed loads. When installed, fork extensions influence the truck's capacity. Modifications and additions to the lift truck that affect capacity or safe operation shall not be performed without the written approval of the forklift manufacturer. Where such modifications and additions are performed, capacity, operation and maintenance instruction plates, tags or decals shall be changed accordingly.
