SCN Lead-Free Solder Wire, 95% Tin 5% Antimony, Solid Core, 1/16 in Dia., 1 lbs Spool
Product Overview
Common solder, lead-free, composed of 95% tin and 5% antimony with a solid core and 0.0625 in diameter. It is useful for applications where moderately elevated temperatures are a factor, has high electrical conductivity and high fluidity, and is recommended where lead contamination must be avoided. With some exceptions, the tin/lead solders can be used to solder copper and most copper alloys, lead, nickel alloys and steel. Heat sources include soldering guns, irons and torch applications. Acid core is for soldering materials with poor solderability, such as stainless steel applications, while rosin core is for electrical applications. Note that it is not recommended for use on brass or HVAC connections, and lead-bearing solders are not to be used in potable water systems
