Product Overview
heavy‑duty, multipurpose grease formulated with a lithium/calcium thickener and a mix of mineral + semi‑synthetic base oils + solids (including molybdenum disulfide — “5% Moly”). The “NLGI grade” is 1, so it is softer than typical NLGI‑2 greases but firmer than semi‑fluid greases — suitable where some flowability is needed, but still with enough body to cling to components. The presence of moly (MoS₂) gives it solid‑lubricant properties, which helps reduce wear on heavily loaded components such as pins, bushings, 5th wheels, suspension pivot points, universal joints, marine fittings, etc. The grease is designed especially for low‑temperature & harsh service conditions, where water, moisture, and heavy loads exist (e.g. logging trucks, heavy‑duty fleet vehicles, construction, mining equipment, forestry, marine, etc.).
Features & Benefits
- Excellent Water / Moisture & Washout Resistance — The formulation resists water wash‑out, which helps maintain lubrication even in wet, muddy, or marine conditions. This is valuable for equipment exposed to rain, splash, or humidity.
- Good Mechanical Stability & Adhesion (Tackiness) — The grease stays in place (sticks to surfaces) rather than being easily flung or washed away. That means longer intervals between re‑lubrication, less grease consumption, and more reliable protection, even under vibration, shock, or movement.
- Corrosion Protection — It helps protect metal surfaces (pins, bushings, joints) against corrosion, even in wet or contaminated environments.
- Equipment or vehicles operate outdoors (e.g. transport trucks, trucks handling oil drums, tankers, forklifts) — where moisture, water, mud, and cold climate are factors. Pins, bushings, chassis points, couplings, or 5th wheels need lubrication under load, with good wear protection and resistance to wash‑out. Maintenance intervals need to be longer (less frequent re‑lubrication), and robust protection against corrosion and wear is required.
