Permatex Threadlocker 242 is a medium-strength, blue gel formula designed for all nut and bolt applications from 1/4 in to 3/4 in (6 mm to 20 mm). It locks and seals fasteners such as valve cover bolts, water pump bolts, oil pan bolts, drive shaft bolts, rocker arm adjustment nuts, and carburetor studs, preventing loosening due to vibration while protecting threads from corrosion. The gel formula provides liquid reliability without drips, globs, mess, or waste, ideal for overhead or vertical applications and neat jobs. Easily removable with hand tools for disassembly.
