Breakaway switches help provide a safe towing experience by automatically engaging your trailer brakes in case of accidental trailer breakaway. Required by law in some states, these switches are for emergency use only and should not be used to lock brakes when parked or stored. The 2010 model features a reinforced nylon case, weldable metal tab, nylon pin assembly, and is rust and corrosion free.
