Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. What makes it perform so well is the pre-assembled, patented 'C' insert attached to the ferrule, which allows usage with different hose constructions and wall thicknesses. This insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal, which simplifies inventory since one size can accommodate many hose ODs on one- and two-wire braid hoses and select xpiral hoses. MegaCrimp couplings are also fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- MegaCrimp couplings set a new standard for hydraulic couplings. The unique "C" insert ensures "weep-free" concentric crimping to keep equipment and the environment clean.
- Gates® has engineered Full-Torque Nut™ technology, available on Gates® MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings, to solve a common cause of hydraulic leaks: cracked coupling nuts from over-torquing. These full-torque nut couplings are stronger, more durable, and transfer input-torque to clamp-load more consistently than traditional staked nut fittings, minimizing leaks.
- One MegaCrimp Coupling size can accommodate various 1 and 2 wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, simplifying inventory requirements and reducing costs. This allows for carrying one family of couplings qualified on all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
- Features a robust 'bite-the-wire' crimp design with a low profile, full-stem insertion, and full-length crimp, which allows for superior coupling and hose retention to make a high performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly.
