Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The performance comes from the patented 'C' insert attached to the ferrule, which allows for usage with different hose constructions and wall thicknesses. This insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal, simplifying inventory requirements. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- Engineered with Full-Torque Nut™ technology, these couplings are stronger, more durable, and prevent cracking from over-torquing compared to traditional staked nut fittings. This design, available on Gates® MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings, transfers input-torque to clamp-load more consistently to minimize leaks.
- Simplifies inventory requirements by allowing one coupling size to accommodate various 1 and 2-wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, including all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
- Features a robust 'bite-the-wire' design with a low profile, full-stem insertion, and full-length crimp for superior hose retention and a high-performance, risk-free assembly.
