Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hoses to create a robust, leak-free assembly. Their high performance is driven by the patented 'C' insert attached to the ferrule, which ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal. This design allows one coupling size to accommodate various one- and two-wire braid hoses (and select spiral hoses) with different constructions and wall thicknesses, simplifying inventory requirements. Additionally, MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

Features Full-Torque Nut™ technology, engineered by Gates® as a solution to cracked coupling nuts from over-torquing. These couplings are stronger, more durable, and transfer input-torque to clamp-load more consistently than traditional staked nuts, minimizing leaks.

Features a robust ‘bite-the-wire’ crimp design for superior coupling and hose retention, creating a high-performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly. It also offers a low profile, full-stem insertion, and a full-length crimp, and is tested to an industry-leading 600,000 impulse cycles.

The unique "C" insert sets a new standard, ensuring a "weep-free" concentric crimp that keeps equipment and the environment clean.

Simplifies inventory management and helps reduce costs, as one MegaCrimp coupling size is qualified for and can accommodate various Gates® 1- and 2-wire braid hydraulic hoses with different constructions and wall thicknesses.

Features environmentally-friendly TuffCoat™ plating, providing 345% better corrosion resistance than the SAE standard.
