Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. What makes the MegaCrimp perform so well is its patented, pre-assembled "C" insert attached to the ferrule. This insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal and allows the coupling to be used with various hose constructions and wall thicknesses. This simplifies inventory since one size can accommodate many different one- and two-wire braid hoses, as well as select Spiral hoses. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- MegaCrimp couplings set a new standard with a unique "C" insert that ensures an even distribution of crimping forces, creating a "weep-free" concentric seal to keep equipment and the environment clean.
- To prevent leaks from cracked nuts or seats caused by over-torquing, Gates® Full-Torque Nut™ technology makes couplings stronger and more durable than traditional staked nuts by transferring input-torque to clamp-load more consistently. This technology is available on Gates® MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings.
- Simplifies inventory management and reduces costs, as one MegaCrimp coupling size can accommodate various one- and two-wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, and is qualified for use on all Gates® wire-braid hoses and select Spiral hoses.
- Features a robust 'bite-the-wire' design for superior coupling and hose retention, ensuring a high-performance, risk-free hydraulic hose assembly with a low profile, full-stem insertion, and full-length crimp.
- Features environmentally-friendly TuffCoat® plating, providing 345% better corrosion resistance than the SAE standard.
