Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid and select xpiral hydraulic hoses to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The key to its performance is the pre-assembled, patented "C" insert attached to the ferrule, which ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal. This design allows one coupling size to accommodate hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, simplifying inventory requirements. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- To address cracked coupling nuts from over-torquing, Gates® Full-Torque Nut™ technology, available on MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings, is stronger, more durable, and transfers input-torque to clamp-load more consistently than traditional staked nuts, minimizing leaks.
- The robust 'bite-the-wire' crimp design provides superior coupling and hose retention for a high-performance, risk-free assembly, featuring a low profile, full-stem insertion, and full-length crimp.
