Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hose to create a robust, leak-free assembly. The performance comes from what's inside the pre-assembled coupling: a patented 'C' insert attached to the ferrule. This 'C' insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces for a concentric seal and allows usage with different hose constructions and wall thicknesses. This simplifies inventory requirements, as one coupling size can accommodate many different hose ODs on one-wire, two-wire braid, and select spiral hoses. Additionally, MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance.

- Features Full-Torque Nut™ technology, available on Gates® MegaCrimp™ and GlobalSpiral™ couplings, engineered as a solution to cracked coupling nuts from over-torquing. This makes the couplings stronger and more durable than traditional staked nuts and allows for more consistent transfer of input-torque to clamp-load to minimize leaks.
- Sets a new standard for hydraulic couplings with a unique 'C' insert that ensures a 'weep-free' concentric crimp to keep equipment and the environment clean.
- Simplifies inventory management and reduces costs, as one MegaCrimp coupling size can accommodate various 1 and 2-wire braid hydraulic hoses of different constructions and wall thicknesses, and are qualified on all Gates® wire-braid hoses.
