Gates MegaCrimp couplings are designed for use with Gates wire braid hydraulic hoses to create a robust, leak-free assembly. At the core of its performance is the patented, pre-assembled 'C' insert attached to the ferrule. This insert ensures an even distribution of crimping forces to form a concentric seal and allows a single coupling size to be used with various one- and two-wire braid hoses (and select xpiral hoses) of different constructions and wall thicknesses, simplifying inventory. MegaCrimp couplings are fully qualified for SAE, EN, and ISO performance standards.
