Fork Extensions, 54 in L x 5 in W, For Fork Width of 4 in by SCN. These fork extensions are designed to handle large and oddly-shaped loads with increased stability. They feature an easy to use slide-on design and a steel retaining strap that prevents extensions from sliding off forks during use. The fork extension may not extend more than 50% beyond the existing fork. Fork extensions are lift truck attachments that increase the fork's effective length for handling oversized uniformly distributed loads. When installed, fork extensions influence the truck's capacity. Modifications and additions to the lift truck that affect capacity or safe operation shall not be performed without the written approval of the forklift manufacturer. Where such modifications and additions are performed, capacity, operation and maintenance instruction plates, tags or decals shall be changed accordingly.
